  • Free access to Books, Magazines, CDs & DVDs 
  • Free access to eBooks, eMagazines, downloadable audiobooks, streaming music library, and research databases like Ancestry.com, Consumer Reports, Morningstar, NY Times, and more
  • Computer classes – from the basics of how to use a mouse to how to write code
  • Local History & Genealogy Resources – including historical newspapers online
  •  Foundation Center to assist non-profits and classes on grant seeking
  • Government Document Depository and designated Patent & Trademark Resource Center.
  • Early literacy programs for young children like storytime and the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Challenge 
  • Librarian is “In” appointments for 1 on 1 assistance with business questions, copyright, trademarks, computer assistance, etc.
  • Dedicated spaces for Job Seekers at Main and Southwest including free copying, faxing, and assistance with creating resumes and applying for jobs 
  • Reference help available through e-mail, phone and in-person
  • Interlibrary Loan – patrons can request to borrow books from other library systems that are not in LFPL’s collection (certain costs may apply)

  • A books-by-mail service for people who cannot come into the library and that meet certain requirements
